Welcome to our store and services! We're a comprehensive outdoor retail store and fly fishing pro shop. We also provide outdoor services for fly fishing, hiking, shuttles, 4x4 tours, and rentals/outfitting (including mountain bikes and boats!).
The Sportsman has operated at the same location in Lake City, Colorado, since 1955. Lake City is considered the most roadless and remote place in the country, let alone the Colorado Rockies!
Outdoor Services
If you want a fly fishing or hiking guide, we're your source! We have seasoned, professional guides who can teach and show with patience and fun. We also provide 4x4 tours of our beautiful mountain landscape and shuttles for you and your gear to area locations, so why drive when you can relax! And for winter fun, stop by and pick up some snowshoes and backcountry skis. We'll get you started on the right trails with the right gear.

The Sportsman provides a wide selection of technical outdoor clothes, footwear, gear, and accessories from name-brand companies. With over 4,000 square feet of gear and gifts for adults and kids, you can count on us to meet all your needs. And while you're at the store, try some of our fresh, homemade fudge. We hear it's the best around!
